     We had Nuala Maguire come along today to speak about costume design.  Nuala is a conservationist with one of our local museums.

Sword Skills

     Back in The Banqueting Hall today for 2 hours training.  Derek plus 4 other members took part.  Matthew got into costume and he and Judith practised with steel bladed swords instead of training swords.  Nice to hear the clink of steel echoing through The Castle

     Back in the Banqueting Hall today with Sword Skills. Guild One, attack and defence moves practised. A good day's training!

     A training-free weekend this week.  The Knights Of The Krag will be back in The Castle on Sunday 7 Feb for more Sword Skills training.  Come along and watch them being put through their paces.  Normal castle admission fees apply.

     In The Banqueting Hall with 3 group members being put through their paces by Derek and Nico.  Training was moved up a notch with attack and defence moves being strung together.  Training was cut to one hour today but was still as enjoyable

Training Day

     We had five members in The Castle today looking at tent-games and calligraphy.  Judith and Derek went head to head with Nine Men's Morris and Hnefatafl and then had a go with some others.  Nice to see castle visitors paying us a bit of attention
